Master of Occupational Health
The Master of Occupational Health program is intended to prepare students for careers or responsibilities dealing with health and safety problems in the workplace. It is designed for professionals with diverse academic backgrounds. Emphasis is on principles and methods of occupational health and safety and their application in the provision of health care to workers in all occupations or workplaces.

Program Learning Outcomes
At the end of the program, the student should be able to accomplish the following tasks:
- implement health protection and health promotion strategies in addressing occupational health and safety (OHS) issues;
- apply research skills and evidence-based solutions in addressing OHS issues;
- manage occupational health and safety systems in local, international, multidisciplinary and multicultural settings;
- apply innovative, fit-for-purpose, efficient and socially-responsive approaches for the prevention and management of injuries and diseases in the workplace; and
- demonstrate the ability to address OHS issues in interprofessional collaborative settings while adhering to legal, professional, social and ethical standards.
Admission Requirements
- Must fulfill the general admission requirements of the National Graduate Office for the Health Sciences (NGOHS) of UP Manila
- Must have at least a baccalaureate degree preferably in biological or health sciences
- Approval of the applicant’s qualification for graduate work in OH by the MOH Committee
Graduation Requirements
- General weighted average of 2.00 or better
- Completion of thirty (30) units of academic courses and must have passed the Comprehensive Examination
