Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communication

The program seeks to address the ever-increasing demand for expertise in modern communication as related to organizations in the Philippines. The program aims to present a holistic perspective of organizational dynamics in the modern century by focusing on organization-related communication skills.

Program Learning Outcomes

Graduates of the Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communication program are expected to:

  1. demonstrate effective, persuasive, and strategic communication in a multi-cultural, organizational context;
  2. advocate ethical communication, as well as media and information literacy (MIL), in the workplace;
  3. engage in continuing education and other forms of professional development in the various fields of organizational communication;
  4. adopt organizational communication practices rooted in “Filipino historical and cultural heritage” (based on RA 7722) balanced with international perspectives;
  5. lead organizations in communication campaigns; and
  6. collaborate in local and global organizational communication projects and advocacies.

Admission Requirements

Graduates of accredited high schools may be admitted as freshmen into the University of the Philippines on the following bases: (1) their performance in the UP College Admission Test (UPCAT); (2) their weighted average in the first three years of high school and; (3) their choice of UP Campus and the quota set for specific course/colleges/units set by the respective Deans.
