The Institute of Herbal Medicine is the recognized leading authority on herbal medicine research, development, and advocacy in the Philippines. The Institute is committed to advancing herbal medicine as an integral component of the national health system through scientifically rigorous, ethically grounded, and culturally sensitive research and development on Philippine medicinal plants. Guided by an integrated, multi-disciplinary approach, the Institute promotes the rational, safe, and effective use of herbal medicines while contributing to the growth of the national pharmaceutical and health industries. Beyond research, the Institute actively advocates for the mainstreaming of evidence-based herbal medicine into Universal Health Care.
