The Institute of Child Health and Human Development is U.P. Manila's commitment to promote and protect the health of children through relevant research and appropriate technology. It aims to go beyond the survival programs in promoting the physical, intellectual, and behavioral (psychosocial) development of those who survive. In recognition of the scope of their needs which begins before birth and varies at different ages of childhood, the institute is necessary to provide essential coordination and support for the full integration of all involved disciplines.
