The Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy is a five-year competency-based program reflecting a paradigm shift from drug-centered to patient-centered practice. It emphasizes the clinical role of pharmacists in individual, family, and community-based care. The curriculum focuses on optimizing medicine use, supply management, and health outcomes through subjects like pharmacotherapy and extensive supervised practice experiences. Designed to be nationally relevant and globally competitive, the program serves as a foundation for an optional one-year Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) bridge program to further enhance professional clinical competencies.\\

The BSP Program has been designed to produce graduates that can achieve the following outcomes:
  - work effectively with inter- and multi-professional teams in various settings to manage the pharmaceutical supply and address medicines-related issues of individuals, communities, and health systems towards improving access to quality assured, safe, and effective medicines;
  - communicate effectively medicines information to patients, consumers, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure rational and responsible use of medicines;
  - provide appropriate pharmaceutical products and pharmacy-based/pharmacist initiated services to patients, families, and communities to achieve optimum health outcomes; and
  - disseminate research findings to improve medication use, pharmacy education, pharmaceutical policies, and pharmacy services delivery.
==== Admission Requirements ====
The admission policy for the incoming BSP students of UP College of Pharmacy is as follows:
  - UPCAT passer (70th percentile in Science and Math)
  - For shiftees and transferees: must have a grade of 1.75 or better
  - Must pass the admission interview by the UP College of Pharmacy to determine the aptitude and attitude of the students towards the profession, the university rules and regulations, and the degree program of the college
