The Master in Health Professions Education [Professional Track] program is especially designed to provide health professions educators with broad theoretical knowledge and practical competencies that are relevant in the performance of their varied roles as curriculum and instructional designers, facilitators of learning, evaluators, administrators and educational leaders, and researchers. After completing 17 units of core courses and 13 units of elective courses, MHPEd graduates are expected to complete a capstone project at the end of the program.\\

=== Program Learning Outcomes ===
Graduates of the Master in Health Professions Education [Professional Track] program are expected to:
  - communicate effectively in written and oral form in matters pertaining to health professions education (HPEd);
  - demonstrate professionalism, cultural competence, and the ability to collaborate with other health professionals;
  - exhibit nationalism and internationalism in the practice of the teaching professions;
  - develop context-based macro- and micro-plans for HPEd;
  - demonstrate advance teaching skills based on best evidence;
  - evaluate educational programs and studies;
  - utilize relevant evidence in planning, conducting, and evaluating HPEd programs; and
  - demonstrate effective educational leadership abilities and administrative skills on a national level.
=== Admission Requirements ===
  - A 4-year baccalaureate degree in health profession from the University of the Philippines or other approved university or tertiary institution considered acceptable by UPM
  - Teaching and/or administrative experience or at least two years in an institution responsible for the teaching of health personnel
  - Good scholastic record from any recognized institution of higher learning 
  - For all applicants from countries where English is not the medium of instruction: Certificate from the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) (i.e., Band 6) OR Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) (i.e., at least 550 for written test, 173 for computerized test, and 70 for internet-based test)
  - Duly accomplished application forms (available for download at http://ngohs.upm.edu.ph/) with the minimum National Graduate Office for the Health Sciences (NGOHS) requirements

  - At least one full academic year of residency immediately preceding the awarding of a degree
  - Completion of at least 30 formal course units
  - A GWA of 2.00 or higher in all major courses and all courses are taken, assuming that none of these courses have a grade of 5.00
